
MISSION
The Historical Society of Frederick County is a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to increasing public awareness and appreciation of the history of Frederick County. The Society collects and preserves artifacts and documents for study and education, and welcomes the participation of people of all ages in sharing informative and engaging experiences that will encourage them to discover and appreciate their heritage.
Historical Society of Frederick County membership offers a variety of benefits and helps to support the organization’s Library, Museums and public programs. Membership is available at the Student ($10), Individual ($35), Family ($50), Contributor ($75), Patron ($100), Associate ($250), Benefactor ($500), and Life ($1,000) levels. Business memberships also are available at various levels.
The HSFC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational organization, donations to which are deductible to the full extent of the law. The Society’s current financial statement is available upon request. Information submitted to the State of Maryland under the Charitable Solicitations Act is available from the Office of the Secretary of State for the cost of copying and postage.
