In and Out of Frederick County: Three Centuries of Travel and Tourism
Maps, postcards, diaries, souvenirs and other travel-related objects are part of this new exhibit about Frederick County. Find out why people visited the county over the past 300 years and discover some of the attractions that were tourist favorites. Frederick Countians were by no means homebodies, they liked to travel as well. See where they went and what they thought of their excursions both within and outside of the county.
The Francis Scott Key Hotel in downtown Frederick, seen in this 1930s postcard, was a popular stop for out of town visitors.
Exhibit Opens Tuesday June 30 at 7pm
